How to Make Dead RMG Back to Live (Scorpion)
Go to ZEB AWS account
- Select RMG machine
- Click on volume (note down device name)
- Click on action
- Click on create snapshot/create
Once snapshot is created
Select created snapshot
- Click on actions
- Click on create image
- Give it name – RMG
- Check device name and storage
- Click on create
Now go to Scorpion account
Copy account number
Go back to Zeb account
- Open AMI’s
- Select AMI, which we have created
- Click on actions
- Click on modify image permissions
- Paste here Scorpion account number and click on add permission
- Check the add box and click on save
Now go back to Scorpion account and check in AMI’s
Now if we have to copy AMI to another region in scorpion account itself
- Select AMI
- Click on actions
- Click on copy AMI
- Select region (to which we have to copy)
- Click on copy
If it is giving any errors, then wait for 30-40 min and then try again. sometimes there may be a issue from AWS side.
Once AMI is copied
Go to that region and launch instance with that AMI
Once RMG instance UP and running we need to check two things,
- Select RMG
- Click on actions
- Click on networking
- Click on change source/destination check
- Here, stop box should be checked
Then, second thing
- Go to VPC
- route tables
- Create manual route / edit rules
- Enter destination , target must be a RMG (network Interface) and click on save changes
