Performing restores from AWS using the N2WS backup software

Login to – https://awsbackup.apoyar.eu

Username – admin

Password - 5tarry.Night

Click on backup monitor

Highlight date we want to backup and click on recover

New window will open, here click on RDS Databases

Select the DB and click on recover

Again, new window will open, edit only below things in that window

- DB instance class – db.m4.large (cheapest)

- DB instance ID – dbname-recovery or dbname-backup (enter different from actual DB, to avoid confusion)

- Disable MZ box (uncheck)

- Click on Recover RDS Instance

- Click on Recover

Then go to AWS RDS console, here we will find a newly crated or recovered RDS instance.

Get the endpoint and import the DB to .sql file and once done delete the recovered RDS instance.
