Installing Updates on Hyper V servers

Installing Update’s on Hyper V

1) Login to vcenter.apoyar server

2) Open Firefox Mozilla (shortcut desktop icon), u will see four tabs as shown in below image.If u have to update any one of them.. just click on that tab Ex. Click on Hyper V host 1

3) Enter credentials as below:

• Username - root
• Password - generic
• Domain – This iDRAC (If not, select in dropdown)

4) After login, you will see below window, click on launch tab

5) Then you will get pop up like below, click OK

6) Again for below popup, click on continue

7) Final popup, click on Run

8) Once terminal launched, click on Macros and then click on Ctrl+Alt+Del

9) You will find menu like shown in below image, for various task to perform, to install update’s enter number 6 and press enter

10) Then it will ask for updates to show, type a (for all updates) and enter, as shown in below image

11) Then you will get list of updates, type corresponding number and enter for install that particular update If you want to install all updates, then type a and enter

12) After update done , go return back to main menu and to log off , enter number 11 and enter as shown in below image
