Apoyar is running a Windows 2008 R2 Active Directory domain.
All Windows servers, apart from the Web IIS are joined and running under it.
It serves:
- User management
- File permissions (where applicable)
- MS SQL central access and management
Apart from the above, it contains the user database for non-windows applications (even on windows machines), where applicable:
- Both L2TP and OpenVPN user logins
- Secure ftp access logins
- VSphere logins and roles (VMWare)
The only management involves:
- Adding and amending DNS records
- User management
- Security groups/ACLs (managed from Mercury)
