Active Directory

Apoyar is running a Windows 2008 R2 Active Directory domain.

All Windows servers, apart from the Web IIS are joined and running under it.

It serves:

• User management
• File permissions (where applicable)
• MS SQL central access and management

Apart from the above, it contains the user database for non-windows applications (even on windows machines), where applicable:

• Both L2TP and OpenVPN user logins
• Secure ftp access logins
• VSphere logins and roles (VMWare)

The only management involves:

• Adding and amending DNS records
• User management
• Security groups/ACLs (managed from Mercury)
