Email Configuration and Issues ------------------------------ We are using Microsoft O365 for Apoyar and also we are giving Microsoft O365 support to Wise Geary, Caladanian and Meridian There are different ways we can access our mail account, as below β’ Web Outlook β Server Database β’ Outlook Desktop Client β Local Database (PST or OST Files) β’ Mobile Client β Just a UI Interface (No Database in Phone) Outlook Email Account Configuration for Exchange on Windows ----------------------------------------------------------- Go to control panel Select and click on Mail Add ο Enter profile name ο Click OK Then new window will open, there select Email account and enter details β’ Your Name β’ Email Address β’ Password β’ Re-type Password β’ Click on Next β’ It will automatically detect the exchange server, then click Finish Outlook Email Account Configuration using IMAP or POP3 on Windows ----------------------------------------------------------------- Go to control panel Select and click on Mail Add ο Enter profile name ο Click OK Then new window will open, there select Manual setup, click Next Select POP or IMAP Enter details β’ Your Name β’ Email Address β’ Account type β’ Incoming mail server β’ Outgoing mail server β’ Username β’ Password Select New Outlook Data File Click on more setting In Outgoing tab, β’ check box my outgoing server β’ select log on using and enter details - Username - Password In Advanced tab, β’ Check box SPA β’ Select encryption SSL/TLS β’ Under Delivery, check box leave copy on server and uncheck box remove from server β’ Enter incoming & outgoing mail server port numbers Click OK and then Next It will authenticate and account will get setup Outlook Issue Resolution Steps ------------------------------ If there is any outlook issues like send/receive errors, like 0x800β¦ follow the below steps β’ Research on error you getting, with error code β’ First check in outlook if its showing Work offline, if its showing like then disable that and check after, if its showing Connected to Microsoft Exchange β’ Login to webmail and check with server side if able to send/receive mails β’ Check for windows Updates β’ Remove profile and add it again β’ Re-install Outlook client β’ Escalate to Microsoft Thunderbird Mail Account Configuration on Windows ------------------------------------------------- β’ Download and install Thunderbird - https://www.thunderbird.net/en-GB/ β’ Open Thunderbird application β’ Click on Email and Enter Details (User name, Email Address and Password) β’ Click on Continue β’ Select IMAP or POP. For more information see our IMAP or POP β’ Click on Manual Configuration β’ Enter the incoming and outgoing mail servers and the username β’ Click on Re-Test β’ Click on Done (This will setup the account)
